Dr. John Ziebert graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Notre Dame. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ziebert completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology at the University of Utah Health Center in Salt Lake City. While there, he completed an additional year of advanced training in diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP. Dr. Ziebert has been with Austin Gastroenterology since October 1997.

Dr. Chris Godell graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in biochemistry, where he also obtained a master’s degree studying aspects of cellular injury and repair. Dr. Godell earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was named the Stjepcevich Scholar for his class. Dr. Godell is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Godell joined Austin Gastroenterology in September 2005.

Dr. Shiv Desai is originally from the DFW area and received his medical training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Intrigued by the opportunity to integrate clinical medicine and procedures, he completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. To further gain increased experience in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy he completed his Advanced Endoscopy training at UTSW.

Dr. Duddempudi began his exposure into medicine early, coming from a long line of physicians. He completed his undergraduate and medical studies at Tufts University in Boston and UWI. He then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Rutgers University School of Medicine. Following residency training, Dr. Duddempudi pursued a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital – The Brooklyn Hospital Center. During his final year of fellowship he was elected Chief Gastroenterology Fellow by the faculty. Dr. Duddempudi went on to complete interventional endoscopy fellowship at the prestigious Pancreas and Biliary Center of New York at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.He gained expertise in ERCP, EUS,
