At Baylor Scott & White Nutrition and Weight Management Center, we're to help you if you have been unsuccessful in past attempts to lose weight. You'll be able to meet one-on-one with an American Board of Obesity Medicine certified physician to do a comprehensive review of you. Together you will create a plan that may include labs, medication changes, sleep testing and a referral to Nutrition or Psychology as needed. Group class referrals may also be placed, which is a 12 week class covering basic principles of healthy eating, exercise, strategies for dining out, ways to stay motivated and various other topics. Bariatric surgery, also known as weight lost surgery, is also a tool to produce significant weight loss for morbidly obese people.
